Tengraph

Tengraph is the WA Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety's (DMIRS) tenement mapping system and for the new user is not intuitive, but the DMIRS website has a number of information guides to assist the new user See; also on the same page they have handy training videos that guides you through some of the basic functions.

DMIRS have added a couple of new features that are very extremely useful; eg exporting tenements to Google Earth, links into WAMEX (an reporting website), accessing Mineral Titles Online from Tengraph and displaying Aboriginal Heritage Surveys. For the list of recent enhancements refer to Recent TENGRAPH Online encancements. One recent enhancements the ability to export tenements to Google Earth is very useful, but one of the limitations of Tengraph is the inability to export any other GIS layers to Google Earth, including Landgate’s proprietary data. One must approach Landgate to obtain such data and at a considerable expense.

For loading data into Mapinfo and ArcMap, tenements and other mapping information can be downloaded from DMIRS Data Centre. DMIRS has recently developed WA Geology a geology mapping app for mobile devices that has geology, tenements and topographic maps among other things, but the screens lacks a certain amount of flexibility.
